Job summary

Indiana University Health System seeks a part-time Food Service Aide at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Schedule is 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. You will assist in meal preparation, follow dietary specifications, and operate kitchen equipment in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, adhering to health regulations, and supporting a smooth food service operation. Prior food service experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required; prior food service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must wear protective equipment/clothing as required.
• Adhere to local health regulations and safety requirements.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Physical: able to lift 35 lbs or more up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food under supervision, including regular and therapeutic diets.
• Maintain clean and organized work space and proper food handling.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
