Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years cooking experience in hotel/restaurant.
• Observed good cooking techniques.
• Team player.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all menu items to order per HACCP guidelines and established recipes.
• Determine food requirements, stock food, utensils and equipment and set up ingredients.
• Check food temperatures using a thermometer to ensure safe cooking and serving temperatures.
• Ensure all food meets standards of presentation, taste, quality, temperature, portion control and sanitation.
• Maintain timeliness of menu preparation and presentation per service needs.
• Clean work area and store leftovers per HACCP guidelines and sanitation standards.
• Maintain refrigerators stocked and clean; manage leftovers to avoid waste.
• Provide relief coverage in all room service areas as needed.
• Adhere to the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
