Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to support patient meal service across the hospital. You will prepare meals, take orders, ensure proper portioning, and maintain clean dining areas in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role emphasizes safety and sanitation, adherence to HACCP and HIPAA guidelines, and collaboration with nursing and food service teams. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to read, write, and communicate in English; weekend and

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, and/or GED equivalent programs.
• To work every weekend.
• To work five (5) out of six (6) holidays.
• To work rotating schedule/shifts based on needs.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provides all necessary customer service functions.
• Takes customer orders promptly and accurately; prepares orders with correct portions.
• Maintains clean and sanitary dining areas and service areas.
• Prepares food items and completes pre-preparation assignments.
• Adheres to HACCP and HIPPA guidelines and safety procedures.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment and health-touch system for orders.
