Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Cook at Texas Health Cleburne to support a fast-paced, patient-centered food service environment. The role emphasizes accurate meal preparation, timely delivery, and clean/organized kitchen areas to meet department standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of experience in high-volume food service, and a Food Handlers Certificate. Training and mentorship are provided within a collaborative hospital team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food preparation/handling, and principles of sanitation.
• Restaurant or institutional food services experience preferred.
• FHC certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work/area for maximum production, accurately follows production sheets.
• Deliver and Stock supply items in designated areas in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains kitchen and serving areas in a clean, neat and orderly manner to exceed department and TDH standards.
• Understands how to read and prepare simple recipes to department standards.
• Understand department standards of food quality and recipe taste
• Ability to learn HACCP sanitation guidelines and follow for safe food handling.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

1 Year relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or Institution

FHC – Food Handlers Certificate 30 days required
