Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a dedicated food service employee to prepare, cook, and serve meals for patients, staff and guests in a high-volume hospital setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of healthcare food service experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand up to 12 hours, and to obtain a Food Handler Permit or ServeSafe certification.

Shifts include weekdays, weekends and holidays; this full-time position offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of food service experience (preferably healthcare) in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient in use and maintenance of kitchen and sanitation equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain (or already have) a Food Handlers Permit for AZ; ability to obtain ServeSafe Certification. FH or ServeSafe within 30 days of hire
• Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays. Day or Night shift as required
• Must be able to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours), lift up to 50 lbs, and work in high-volume environments

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve all menu items according to standardized recipes and department service standards
• Maintain a safe working environment by following health department standards, regulatory procedures, kitchen logs, and proper maintenance of all kitchen equipment
• Maintain all kitchen and storage areas following local regulatory standards, department and leadership standards, and required sanitation and safety standards
• Complete all assigned tasks while on duty adhering to safety standards and CMC policies
• Complete initial educational training modules and any subsequent modules assigned by CMC on time, and complete additional training within required timeframes
• Attend staff meetings or additional educational modules assigned by leadership
