Job Summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a dedicated employee responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for patients, staff, and hospital guests. This individual will be expected to follow all food service regulations established by the Maricopa County Department of Health while upholding the ethics and moral standards of College Medical Center. The ideal candidate will align with the mission, vision, and values of CMC and demonstrate the ability to interact with, relate to, and support the activities of a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of food service experience (preferably healthcare experience) in a high volume food service environment
• Proficient in use and maintaining of kitchen and sanitation equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Ability to obtain (or already have) a Food Handlers Permit for AZ. Ability to obtain a ServeSafe Certification. Must have FH or ServeSafe within 30 days of hire date.
• Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays. Day or Night shift as required
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (12 hour shifts), lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in high volume environments

Job-Specific Duties

• Prepare, cook, and serve all menu items according to standardized recipes and department service standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment including following health department standards, regulatory procedures, all kitchen logs, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is used and maintained to proper department standards.
• Maintain all kitchen and storage areas following local regulatory standards, department and company leadership standards, and required sanitation and safety standards.
• Complete all assigned tasks while on duty adhering to safety standards and policies of CMC.

Complete Initial educational training modules and any subsequent modules assigned by CMC on time, and complete additional training when assigned within the required timeframe.

Additional Responsibilities

• Attend any and all staff meetings, or additional educational modules assigned by leadership.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
