Job summary

Fall River Health Services in Hot Springs, SD seeks a part-time Hospital Project Manager to oversee construction, renovation, expansion, infrastructure, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion. This salaried exempt role coordinates with hospital leadership, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

The PM will ensure projects stay on schedule and within budgets while complying with healthcare, safety, building, life-safety, and infection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Project Management (preferred).
• Current state PE license and/or PMP certification highly preferred.
• Core experience: 3–5 years in project management, construction management, facilities management, or related admin support.
• Experience managing capital projects within occupied healthcare environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hospital construction, renovation, expansion, infrastructure, equipment installation, and capital improvement projects.
• Assist with planning, scope development, feasibility, priorities, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Serve as primary liaison between hospital leadership and architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and other project partners.
• Track project schedules, milestones, budgets, deliverables, and delays.
• Coordinate meetings, site inspections, and project updates with hospital leadership.
• Review change orders, RFIs, pay applications, invoices, and project documentation.
• Monitor expenditures and identify budget risks or overruns.
• Coordinate facility access, shutdowns, and other activities to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Coordinate Infection Control Risk Assessments and ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety requirements.
• Support compliance with federal/state/local healthcare and life-safety regs.
• Coordinate with CMS, SD Department of Health, SD Board of Pharmacy, and local authorities as needed.
• Oversee final inspections, testing, commissioning, punch-list, and closeout.
