Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to handle inbound calls, route them to appropriate departments, and maintain critical on-call and contact information. The role involves dispatching after hours, training new staff, and ensuring accurate documentation across multiple clinical and security systems.

Candidates will work afternoons with availability for holidays and weekends. Experience with Meditech/MOX, Outlook, Cerner, and paging systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming calls, greet callers, provide information, and transfer calls.
• Assist callers in determining the proper department or person to connect with.
• Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, and documentation.
• Maintain an organized directory with on-call schedules and updated contact information.
• Follow HIPAA laws and regulations.
• Route emergency calls appropriately.
• Dispatch Building Services after hours and on weekends; document incidents and assign technicians.
• Train new hires and security staff.
• Operate and monitor systems (Meditech/MOX, Outlook, Cerner, Rauland, Nurse Call) and paging via Cisco switchboard.
