Mercy Health's St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to greet callers and manage the hospital's telephone systems with professionalism.

The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, with rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as required. You will operate the telephone console, page staff, handle emergency communications, and support the hospital's voice and paging systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience as a Telecommunications/Switchboard Operator, 911 Dispatcher, or in a Call Center is preferred.

Mansioni

• Operates computerized telephone console to manage calls and route to appropriate locations.
• Perform public address and paging for contacting staff and physicians.
• Monitor, assign and replace pagers for staff.
• Coordinate with departments for telephone repairs, moves, changes and voice mail procedures.
• Notify staff of emergencies and follow disaster plans.
• Record and monitor emergency alarms and events per established protocols.
• Summon/dispatch personnel during emergencies and log activities.
• Serve as an answering service for multiple departments.
