Qualifications

• Experience with coding in outpatient, ED, or physician office settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review electronic medical records to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes accurately.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures per guidelines and primary conditions.
• Use coding references and payor guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Communicate documentation gaps and complete physician queries when needed.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy, and stay current with coding changes.
