Job summary

Riverside Healthcare in Illinois seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in acute hospital care. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, document in the EHR, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment.

Compassion and clear communication are essential in a fast-paced unit. This role requires an Illinois CNA certificate, CPR and BLS, and a willingness to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• CNA certificate registered with the State of Illinois or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification or obtainment within 6 months of hiring with subsequent recertification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, intake/output, and toileting.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with patient mobility and safe transfer using proper body mechanics.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR) promptly and accurately.
• Collect specimens as directed for lab tests and maintain infection control practices.
