Job summary

Riverside Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in an acute hospital setting in Illinois. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and help ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients and families.

The role requires an Illinois CNA license, CPR, and BLS certification, with high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CNA certificate registered with the State of Illinois or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification or obtainment within 6 months of hiring with subsequent recertification preferred.
• Current Basic Life support (BLS) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, intake/output and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs including BP, pulse, temperature, respirations, oxygen saturation and glucose as needed.
• Assist with patient mobility, transfers, turning, repositioning and ambulation using proper technique.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and promptly.
• Collect specimens as directed and adhere to infection control procedures.
• Support safe environment and assist with equipment setup and cleaning.
• Provide compassionate patient and family interactions to promote comfort and trust.
