Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide Pharmaceutical services across the Medical Center. Responsibilities include dispensing medications, verifying dosages, and communicating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective therapy for patients.

You will work with HBOC and Omnicell systems, oversee technicians, monitor adverse reactions, and participate in program development and quality assurance processes. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist (IDFPR) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Dispense medications from physician orders.
• Enter orders accurately into the computer for current medication administration reports.
• Verify dosages on physician orders are appropriate for patients.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, and dosing questions.
• Oversee technicians in operating Omnicell System and manage IV medications in HBOC System.
• Dose all drugs in Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service.
• Monitor for adverse drug reactions in patients.
• Participate in in-service programs and department projects.
