Qualifications

• Licensure: Licensed Pharmacist - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Education: Bachelor‘s Degree: Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Check all medications leaving the department for quality assurance.
• Have working knowledge of chemotherapy agents, hyperalimentation, IV admixture, narcotic control, investigational drugs and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Correctly dispense medications from physician orders and ensure accurate entry into the system for patient care reports.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, allergen info and dosing questions to support patient care.
• Assist in planning new functions and updating pharmacy services to maintain high standards of practice.
• Participate in in-service programs and department projects as assigned.
• Work with computer systems, document in patient charts, and dose medications based on patient parameters.
