Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will verify and dispense medications, ensure accurate dosing from physician orders, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize patient care.

You will use HBOC/HBOC systems, supervise technicians, and participate in pharmacokinetic dosing and adverse drug reaction monitoring. This role requires a pharmacy degree and active licensure; you will help uphold safety, accuracy, and efficiency in medication

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist – IDFPR licensure.
• Bachelor’s Degree: Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHECKING ALL MEDICATIONS LEAVING THE DEPARTMENT TO VERIFY QUALITY ASSURANCE.
• Dispenses medications from physician orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicates with healthcare professionals regarding orders, drug interactions, dosages, and patient care.
• Oversees Omnicell system operation by pharmacy technicians.
• Doses medications based on patient-specific parameters and participates in pharmacokinetic dosing services.
• Monitors for adverse drug reactions and maintains proper medication storage and dispensing guidelines.
