Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Hospital Educator to plan, develop, and coordinate in-service education for all staff. You will partner with hospital leadership to assess educational needs, coordinate rotations, and prep staff for accreditation requirements.

This role offers career growth close to home and a chance to impact patient care in a nationwide inpatient rehab leader. The role focuses on coordinating certifications, improving training programs, and aligning with Joint Commission standards

Qualifications

• Active clinical license required; CPR certification required.
• Preferred: experience as an Educator and healthcare training.
• CRRN preferred if RN; strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff completion of BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Manage equipment and skills stations for BLS/ACLS training.
• Assist in coordinating clinical rotations and student orientation.
• Train staff on new hire and hospital orientation.
• Coordinate preceptor program for education.
• Implement new competencies and equipment across units.
• Provide education on compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Ensure Joint Commission and regulatory training standards are met.

Qualifications

• Active clinical license.
• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Appropriate education to obtain and maintain required licensure.
  • Preferred: Previous experience as an Educator.
  • CPR certification.
  • If a Registered Nurse, CRRN certification preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independent.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings or nights as needed.
