Job summary

Tipp City Veterinary Hospital is hiring Customer Service Representatives to join our AAHA-accredited team in Tipp City, Ohio. We welcome both experienced CSRs and newcomers, offering growth in a supportive, high-quality veterinary setting.

As the first point of contact, you will greet clients, manage appointments, handle payments, and educate clients on treatments and services. We provide comprehensive benefits and a clear pathway for skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Veterinary or animal care background is preferred.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email) is expected.
• Familiarity with EzyVet software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and welcome patients into the hospital.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle general inquiries.
• Process payments and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare for and assist with patient check-ins and discharges.
• Educate clients about treatments, services, and products.
• Keep exam rooms and the lobby clean and welcoming.
• Support marketing efforts for in-lobby retail products.
• Assist with emergencies according to hospital protocols.

What You'll Do

As a CSR, you're the first impression of our hospital - and a vital part of our clients' experience. You'll:

• Greet clients and welcome patients into the hospital
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle general inquiries
• Process payments and maintain accurate records
• Prepare for and assist with patient check-ins and discharges
• Educate clients about treatments, services, and products
• Keep exam rooms and the lobby clean and welcoming
• Support marketing efforts for in-lobby retail products
• Help manage emergencies according to hospital protocols
• Assist with special events and cross-train in other roles as needed

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Customer service experience (preferred)
• Veterinary or animal care background (preferred)
• A positive, professional, and polished demeanor
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Willingness to learn and grow through coaching
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
• Familiarity with EzyVet software is a plus
• Ability to uphold strict confidentiality with client and patient information
• Respectful, compassionate approach to both people and animals

Work Environment & Schedule

You'll be working in a busy, engaging environment with high client interaction and a fast pace. Tasks involve frequent interruptions, computer use, and exposure to cleaning chemicals (with proper PPE provided).

We offer full-time (30-40 hrs/week) and part-time (<30 hrs/week) positions. Flexible availability is a must, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Weekend shifts include a $1/hr shift differential. We are closed on all major holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 150 lbs
• Must be comfortable moving animals and goods
• Engage in repetitive motions (bending, lifting, reaching)
