Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Cleaner responsible for maintaining hospital rooms, corridors, and adjacent grounds with attention to detail and strong time management. The role requires excellent intrapersonal communication and the ability to work with all levels of staff.

Duties include washing floors and surfaces, collecting waste, waxing floors, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms. The position may involve moving furniture for cleaning and events, with emphasis on infection control

Qualificações

• Must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and communicate effectively to obtain and convey information.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand verbal communication at a basic level.
• Preferred: previous hospital setting experience.

Responsabilidades

• Washes floors, corridors, stairs, walls, and windows using cleaning tools and equipment.
• Collects, transports, and disposes of medical waste and spoiled linens per procedures.
• Strips and waxes floors; vacuums carpets; dusts assigned areas using equipment.
• Cleans lavatories, showers, sinks, urinals, and locker rooms; maintains hygiene.
