Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform cleaning tasks and to communicate effectively to obtain and convey information.
• Reading, writing, speaking and understanding basic verbal communication is required.
• Hospital experience or prior work in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Washes floors, corridors, stairs, walls, windows and other surfaces with cleaning equipment.
• Collects, transports and disposes of medical waste or spoiled linens per procedures.
• Vacuuming, shampooing carpets, dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Cleans lavatories, showers, sinks, urinals and locker rooms.
• Removes hazardous articles and places them in designated receptacles.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning activities or events.
• Emptying trash and recyclables according to schedule.
