Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of assigned areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Performs environmental cleaning including sanitizing with germicidal cleanser, high dusting, cleaning windows and windowsills.
• Ensures tiled floors are mopped and areas are clean.
• Uses and labels chemicals properly and dilutes as required.
• Operates and maintains equipment and reports safety hazards.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to disposal area.
• Distributes linens to patient wings and removes dirty linen.
• Follows infection control practices and PPE as appropriate.
• Works independently with normal supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
