Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking an Environmental Services staff member to help maintain cleanliness across hospital facilities. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and waste handling to support safe patient care and infection control.

Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas, properly using and storing chemicals, and reporting safety hazards. Strong English communication and a high school diploma are preferred, with 0–6 months experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of assigned areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Performs a variety of environmental services functions including daily sanitizing with a germicidal cleanser.
• Ensures floors, corners and baseboards are clean and free of dust and marks.
• Uses and dilutes chemicals per procedure and stores them properly.
• Maintains equipment and reports safety hazards.
