Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking an Environmental Services team member to maintain clean and sanitary hospital facilities. You will perform routine cleaning across patient areas, follow infection control protocols, and responsibly handle chemicals and supplies to ensure safety and quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and the ability to communicate in English, with experience in a domestic setting favored.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness of patient and hospital facilities.
• Cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning.
• Uses appropriate chemicals and supplies per procedure and ensures proper labeling and storage.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to the disposal area.
• Follows infection control practices including hand washing and Standard Precautions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
