Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in an industrial or hospital setting preferred.
• Communicate effectively in English (speaking and reading).
• Competency in use of buffing and scrubbing machines, vacuum cleaners, and extractor machines; familiarity with Sani-Pak and cardboard baling machine.
• Must be able to lift/carry 15 pounds.
• Must be able to ambulate, climb stairs, and bend repeatedly during cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning functions following established procedures promptly.
• Uses correctly labeled cleaning supplies for each task.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good condition and uses supplies economically.
• Cleans various surfaces including beds, fixtures, walls, floors, and furniture.
• Replenishes soap, towels, and toilet tissue; moves furniture as needed.
• Transports and disposes of waste and linen according to policy.
• Sets up and breaks down tables and chairs for events, as required.
