Stony Brook University Medical Center is seeking a Supervising Janitor for the Full-time Evening Shift. The role oversees cleaning programs, staff scheduling, and inventory control for custodial operations within Stony Brook Medicine and associated facilities.

Qualified candidates will have supervisory custodial experience, strong intrapersonal and time-management skills, and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Promotion Qualifications: One year of experience as a Janitor, Housekeeper, Supervising Housekeeper, Supervising Building Services Aide or Building Services Assistant 2.
• Minimum Qualifications under NY HELPS Program: Two years of satisfactory full-time experience in custodial care or cleaning, with one year supervisory.
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospital experience; strong interpersonal, time management and detail orientation.
