Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a per diem Chaplain at Monroe Regional Hospital in the System Mission Services department. The role provides spiritual care and guidance to patients, families and staff during hospital stays, with coordination between patients, families and community clergy as needed.

You will attend monthly spiritual care meetings and must serve as on-call chaplain throughout each month. This position supports ProMedica’s mission and offers flexible hours in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field required or working towards such degree.
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for full time positions, 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for parttime positions
• Candidates with 2 or more years experience as a chaplain within the healthcare field may be considered for contingent roles
• APC or NACC or equivalent

Responsibilities

• During a hospital stay, the Chaplin provides spiritual care and guidance to patients, families and staff.
• Coordinate communication between patient/family and community clergy as needed.
• Attend monthly spiritual care meetings.
• Within the department, you are required to serve as on‑call chaplain throughout each month.

Education

Master’s degree in related field

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) – 4 units for full time positions

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) – 2 units for part-time positions
