Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families and staff, coordinating with community clergy as needed.

You will attend monthly spiritual care meetings, serve as on-call chaplain each month, and support the mission-driven care environment across the hospital. This role requires strong communication, empathy, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to address diverse spiritual and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field required or in progress.
• 4 CPE units for full-time positions; 2 CPE units for part-time.
• Healthcare chaplain experience may be considered for contingent roles.

Job Summary:

During a hospital stay, the Chaplin provides spiritual care and guidance to patients, families and staff. In this role, you will coordinate communication between patient/family and community clergy as needed. You will also attend monthly spiritual care meetings. Within the department, you are required to serve as on-call chaplain throughout each month. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in related field required or working towards such degree 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for full time positions, 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for part time positions Candidates with 2 or more years experience as a chaplain within the healthcare field may be considered for contingent roles

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

2 years as a chaplain in a healthcare related field APC or NACC or equivalent ProMedica is a mission-driven, not-for-profit health care organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
