Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a hospital Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families and staff at Hickman Hospital. The role includes coordinating with community clergy and attending monthly spiritual care meetings, with on-call responsibilities each month.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field required or working towards such degree
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for full time positions, 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for parttime positions
• Candidates with 2 or more years experience as a chaplain within the healthcare field may be considered for contingent roles
• 2 years as a chaplain in a healthcare related field (preferred)
• APC or NACC or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

• During a hospital stay, the Chaplain provides spiritual care and guidance to patients, families and staff.
• Coordinate communication between patient/family and community clergy as needed.
• Attend monthly spiritual care meetings.
• Within the department, you are required to serve as on-call chaplain throughout each month.
