ProMedica, Hickman Hospital, seeks a Chaplain to provide spiritual care for patients, families and staff. You will coordinate with community clergy and attend monthly meetings, while serving as on-call chaplain each month.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field (or progress toward one) and CPE units (4 for full-time, 2 for part-time). Healthcare chaplaincy experience is a plus and a per diem schedule is expected.

Job Summary

During a hospital stay, the Chaplin provides spiritual care and guidance to patients, families and staff. In this role, you will coordinate communication between patient/family and community clergy as needed. You will also attend monthly spiritual care meetings. Within the department, you are required to serve as on-call chaplain throughout each month. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. Requirements

• Master’s degree in related field required or working towards such degree
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for full time positions, 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for part time positions
• Candidates with 2 or more years experience as a chaplain within the healthcare field may be considered for contingent roles

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years as a chaplain in a healthcare related field APC or NACC or equivalent
