Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking an IRP Chaplain to deliver pastoral care to patients, families, and staff within University Hospital—Rhodes Hall. The position supports coverage as needed, including nights and weekends, reporting to the Director of Pastoral Care.

This role requires education in theology, chaplaincy training, ordination/endorsement, and flexible availability to meet spiritual needs across assigned areas.

Qualifications

• College degree required.
• Master’s level theological degree or equivalent.
• Clinical training in chaplaincy (ACPE), at least one unit.
• Ordination or commissioning for ministry by a recognized religious group.
• Current endorsement for chaplaincy by a recognized religious group.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pastoral care to patients, loved ones, and staff as assigned.
• Be available for coverage including nights and weekends as staffing needs arise.
• Report to the Director of Pastoral Care.
