Job summary

Community Health Network seeks a Chaplain within its Spiritual Services team to respond to requests for pastoral care, conduct spiritual assessments, and work with hospital staff in a multidisciplinary setting. The role includes workshops, staff support, and liaison with clergy, with on‑call duties in the evening, night, and weekends.

Requires Masters of Divinity and CPE units; experience in hospital chaplaincy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires spiritual care credentials and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests/referrals for spiritual/pastoral care in a timely fashion.
• Provide spiritual assessments and appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.
• Plan/conduct workshops and in-service programs for staff/volunteers as needed.
• Develop relationships with staff to provide spiritual/emotional support during high-stress periods.
• Provide liaison and educational services for community clergy/volunteers.
• Facilitate support groups for patients and families as appropriate.
• Contribute to on-call rotation providing evening, night and weekend pastoral care.
