Job summary

A graduate degree (MA or MDiv) and 3 years of clinical chaplaincy experience are required, with 4 CPE units and board-certification eligibility within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree (MA or MDiv) in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field.
• 3 years of prior clinical chaplain experience.
• 4 CPE units (ACPE-accredited) required; board certification eligible within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic spiritual care and counseling to patients, families, and staff.
• Respond to emergencies and assist families with end-of-life and care decisions.
• Participate in site coverage, committees, and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Mentor students in clinical pastoral education and support department goals.
• Support mission and values of Advocate Health in clinical duties and team engagement.
