Mercy Health is seeking a Chaplain at Lourdes Hospital to provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff within a multidisciplinary team. The chaplain will address Catholic sacramental needs and support diverse faith groups in a hospital setting.

Requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred Master’s) and completion of CPE within the first year; 24/7 on-call with holiday/weekend coverage is expected. Mercy Health emphasizes compassion, integrity, and service in a faith-based environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree (required) in a related field such as Religious or Theological Studies
• Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Commitment to complete one CPE within first year of employment (required)
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Recognizes the sacramental needs of the Catholic population.
• Provide for religious and ritual needs of diverse faith groups.
• Minister to a diverse population in a non-proselytizing manner and provide basic emotional and spiritual support to patients, visitors, our community, and fellow associates.
• Provide constructive pastoral presence via active listening and calm communication.
• Provide spiritual support to end-of-life situations and crisis (Code Blue, Death, Trauma).
• 24/7 call with expectations for holidays/weekends.
