Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual care to patients, families, and staff within a hospital setting in Lebanon, Missouri. The role emphasizes serving others, humility, and alignment with Mercy mission and values.

The position requires a Theology/Divinity degree (or equivalent), one unit of CPE (with up to one year to complete if using related experience), and experience visiting the sick in ministry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Theology, Ministry, Divinity, or related field; or equivalent education and experience in lieu of the degree in addition to the required experience.
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. If equivalent experience, the candidate has up to one year to complete the unit.
• Experience visiting the sick in a ministry capacity.
• In good standing with community and endorsed or eligible for endorsement by faith community.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical team to deliver holistic care.
• Support patients and families during moments of celebration, uncertainty, suffering, and loss.
