Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a PRN On-Site Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. The role emphasizes compassionate ministry, collaboration with the clinical team, and support during illness or crisis within a hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in theology/ministry/divinity (or related field) and CPE experience; master’s work and healthcare/ military chaplaincy background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, divinity or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent experience; if equivalent, up to one year to complete the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff during illness, injury, or stress.
• Minister to the whole person with emphasis on spiritual needs; support emotional and social well-being.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure compassionate, holistic care.
• Respond to spiritual, ethical, and crisis situations with empathy and professional conduct.
