Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a CDI Auditor in Georgia to review and improve clinical documentation and coding accuracy.

The role partners with providers, coders and the CDI team to ensure documentation reflects severity and service level, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and education. Ideal candidates have CDI/coding certification, RN or RHIA/RHIT background, and 5+ years in healthcare with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in acute care CDS role and 5 years healthcare experience.
• Experience auditing CDI/Coding and providing feedback/education.
• Knowledge of coding rules, DRG and reimbursement implications.
• Strong communication and collaboration with providers and CDI team.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and conducts CDI/Coding audits and provides actionable findings.
• Educates stakeholders on documentation and coding best practices.
• Reviews medical records for accuracy, severity of illness and mortality risk.
• Provides feedback to clinicians and maintains CDI data accuracy.
• Partners with CDI Leadership to support education and process improvements.
