Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working in an acute care setting as a Clinical Documentation Specialist
• Minimum 5 years healthcare experience
• Prior experience as a CDI/Coding educator is highly preferred
• Prior experience as a CDI/Coding auditor is preferred

Responsibilities

• Grow CDI teams' skills and keep up with guideline changes
• Provide ongoing CDI education to providers and team members based on data trends and audits
• Create tailored CDI learning materials
• Deliver live and recorded training for providers and CDI staff
• Ensure documentation supports appropriate reimbursement and coding accuracy
• Collaborate with CDI Leadership for education initiatives and new staff orientations
