Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. seeks a CDI Auditor to join our clinical documentation integrity team in Georgia.

You will audit records, identify opportunities for documentation improvement, and provide real-time feedback to physicians, CDI staff and coders to ensure accurate severity of illness and level of service. You will collaborate with the CDI Education Lead, participate in provider education, and help drive the organization toward clinical and financial excellence in documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working in an acute care setting as a CDS.
• Minimum 5 years healthcare experience.
• Prior experience as a CDI/Coding auditor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates audits and prepares findings to support CDI education and stakeholder sessions.
• Audits medical records to identify opportunities for documentation improvement.
• Provides real-time audits of reviews, queries and reports with feedback on opportunities and query compliance.
• Reviews data and trends to identify additional improvement areas.
• Performs Validation and Special Projects to ensure accurate CDI data entry and reporting.
• Functions as a Super User with CDI software and related applications.
• Reviews clinical documentation remotely to identify opportunities to improve physician documentation.
