Wmchealth in New York is seeking a Boiler Operator to ensure safe steam generation and reliable hospital operations. You will operate, monitor, and maintain steam-generating equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.

The role requires 3–5 years of boiler experience, apprenticeship or trade training, and a NYS driver's license. Reading and writing English are required.

Work may include weekend or off-hours shifts and on-call duties, with paperwork and logs maintained electronically.

Competenze

• Boiler operation and maintenance experience required.
• Minimum 3–5 years preferred.
• Apprenticeship or related trade training.
• Valid New York State Driver's License

Mansioni

• Manipulates valves to control steam pressure.
• Adjusts equipment controls to correct malfunctions when indicated by observation or warning lights.
• Inspects boiler room observing operation of meters and gauges and compares readings to specs.
• Maintains operating logs including fuel consumption, steam output, blow-down time and meter readings.
• Records readings from bulk medical gas tanks and performs rounds as assigned.
• Performs minor boiler repairs (gaskets, joints, valves, pumps).
• Handles weekend or second/third shift requests and related campus repairs.
• During snowstorms, sands/salts major roads and entry points; helps with shoveling when required.
