Tufts Medicine is seeking a Billing Specialist to support revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, and payment processing, at our Lowell, MA location. The role involves verifying eligibility, processing bills, following up with payers, and assisting patients with payment options.

Onsite training is required for the first 180 days, with possible remote flexibility afterward at management discretion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in medical billing and collection environment.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD codes helpful.
• Epic HB Billing or PB Billing experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Bill patients for administered care.
• Handle incoming payments and calculate patient intake costs.
• Track accounts receivable and pursue resolution.
• Research and handle claim rejections and appeals.
• Maintain compliance with payer and government regulations.
