Responsibilities

• Verifies hospital insurance information.
• Compiles hospital bills and submits claims to insurers.
• Contacts patients/insurers to collect unpaid claims.
• Verifies demographic information in the system.
• Keeps up with changes in plans and contracts.
• Follow up on accounts within 30 days until paid.
• Move self-pay accounts to collections per policy.
• Answer phones and communicate with staff.
• Demonstrates flexibility and organization under pressure.
