UofL Health is recruiting a Hospital-Based Registered Nurse in Louisville, KY to deliver nursing care across age groups using the nursing process and standards. The role emphasizes patient safety, care coordination, and collaborative teamwork.

Under supervision, you will administer medications, develop individualized care plans with patients and families, and contribute to discharge planning while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license to work in Kentucky is required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification is required.
• PALS and ACLS may be required for specific clinical areas.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient health status from admission to discharge across the care continuum.
• Administer medications per licensure authority and document administration per policies.
• Plan care with patient and family using current scientific knowledge and care standards.
• Identify and prioritize patient problems with the care team to ensure safety and outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions to meet patient and family needs and goals.
• Educate patients and families and participate in discharge planning.
