Job summary

Butler Medical Transport is seeking a BridgePoint Hospital Based Paramedic for MD/DC, based in National Harbor, Washington, DC. This full-time role involves delivering advanced life support during interfacility transports and leading EMT crews.

You will work within a hospital-based system, ensuring patient safety, compliance with state protocols, and seamless communication across teams. We value experience in EMS and commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NR Paramedic certification required.
• Current NR Paramedic and State Paramedic certification, or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire.
• Current AHA BLS CPR, ACLS, PALS or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Must be able to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, advanced life support care during interfacility transports.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to EMT crew members.
• Communicate effectively with patients, dispatch, family members, and facility staff.
• Operate communication devices, cell phones, and computer tablets.
• Complete accurate patient care reports prior to shift completion.
• Ensure vehicle and equipment readiness and cleanliness.
• Maintain current certifications with timely completion of refresher courses.
