Job summary

Best Care Ambulance, Inc. is seeking EMTs for a hospital-based transport role assigned to Holy Cross Hospital. You will respond to emergent and nonemergent calls, assess patients, provide basic life support, and transport to medical facilities for further treatment.

Under supervision of leadership, you will maintain equipment, complete patient contact reports, and stay current with state protocols. Applicants must have NREMT and state EMT credentials, a valid license, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 19+ at hire for insurance purposes.
• NREMT certification completed.
• Current NREMT and State EMT license or ability to obtain within 10 days.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• EVOC course completed or obtainable within 90 days.
• AHA BLS CPR current or obtainable within 10 days.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Ability to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care within EMT scope.
• Safe transport of patient and crew.
• Respond to emergent and non-emergent transports.
• Communicate with patients, dispatch, crews, family, and facility staff.
• Operate radios, cell phones, tablets.
• Complete patient contact reports prior to shift end.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment for transport readiness.
• Maintain station cleanliness.
• Keep certifications up to date via refresher courses.
• Stay current on state protocols and procedures.
• Represent BMT/BCA at community events.
