Job summary

Meitheal Pharmaceuticals in Chicago seeks a Key Account Manager to drive hospital formulary access and uptake for a new IV antibiotic. You will educate decision-makers, build territory plans, and secure commitments while coordinating with cross-functional teams to maximize product adoption.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in pharma sales with hospital experience, and antibiotic account management is preferred. This remote role requires travel and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or BS/MS in life sciences with relevant experience.
• 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with 5+ years in hospital settings.
• Antibiotic account management experience is strongly preferred; clinical background (nurse/pharmacist) favorable.
• Strong presentation, organization and CRM experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and meet or exceed territory goals.
• Educate formulary decision-makers and healthcare professionals on product benefits.
• Develop and execute territory and business plans.
• Identify opportunities and present value propositions.
• Advance hospital accounts and gain prescriber commitments.
• Present complex clinical information clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical, Marketing, and Operations.
• Use CRM to report activities and account details.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Manage territory budgets and speaker programs.
