Job summary

• Mentors and develops staff; acts as preceptor for student nurses and new preceptors in their role, fostering continuous learning.
• Oversees Admission/Discharge/Transfer coordination; advises health care providers to optimize patient care and resource use; ensures safe staffing and efficient throughput.
• Uses research and evidence-based practice to support improvement, including capacity management and quality improvement opportunities.
• Coaches colleagues on cultural diversity and addresses horizontal violence; builds teams with uplifting communication and transparent expectations.
• Leads hospital administration initiatives, involving staff and stakeholders to improve patient experience and throughput; participates in professional advocacy.
