Altus Hospice in Houston is seeking a Full Time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow our volunteer program. You will recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteers, ensuring services align with the plan of care and regulatory standards.

This role requires a compassionate, organized professional ready to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends; the team offers a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year as Volunteer Coordinator in healthcare preferred; hospice experience preferred.
• Compassionate, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, interview, and coordinate volunteers; document outreach efforts.
• Assess volunteer needs with patient and hospice team.
• Coordinate volunteers to provide services per care plan.
• Supervise volunteers and conduct annual evaluations.
• Grow and manage an active volunteer network for care activities.
• Track time logs and patient records for compliance.
