Altus Hospice Care in Houston seeks a Full Time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to lead our volunteer program. You will recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteers, ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal regulations, and coordinate with the care team.

This role emphasizes community outreach to promote opportunities, works Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm with weekends as needed, and offers benefits and a supportive, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum one year patient volunteer coordination experience preferred.
• Compassionate, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Select, recruit, train, interview, screen, and coordinate patient volunteers.
• Establish volunteer needs with patient, family, and hospice team.
• Arrange volunteers to provide care per plan of care.
• Supervise volunteers and evaluate performance annually.
• Develop and oversee an active volunteer network for direct/indirect care.
• Monitor time logs, data entry, and patient documentation for compliance.
