Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to oversee volunteer staff and programs, including Hospice End of Life Doula services. You will maintain records, ensure Joint Commission standards, and collaborate with Valley Hospital for a system-wide program.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of volunteer experience, with strong communication, organization and adaptability in a dynamic health-care setting. Position located at Kraft Center in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration or certificate in Social Work, counseling or human resources preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of volunteer experience required.
• Demonstrates effective interaction and communication skills; able to work under pressure and adapt to changing patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer staff and facilitate volunteer programs, including the Hospice End of Life Doula Program.
• Maintain records to meet Joint Commission and Medicare requirements and generate quarterly statistics.
• Collaborate with Valley Hospital and Valley Health Systems to ensure a coordinated volunteer program.
• Maintain compliance with HR policy guidelines and relevant driving records when driving is required.
