Job summary

Three Oaks Hospice is seeking a compassionate Volunteer Coordinator to lead our volunteer program across affiliated hospice teams. You will recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteers who support patient and family care efforts under the direction of the interdisciplinary team.

In this role you will manage scheduling, coordinate volunteer activities, and partner with community organizations to grow a capable, caring volunteer network that enhances our mission and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate (graduate of an accredited college/university preferred)
• Experience: Experience in recruitment & management of hospice volunteers preferred
• Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with IDG and the community
• Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance required; current driver’s license

Responsibilities

• The Volunteer Coordinator has overall responsibility for the agency’s Volunteer Program
• Volunteers must be used in day to day administrative and/or direct patient care roles that meets the needs of the patient and family care givers; recruit, train, retain and supervise volunteers
