Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Manager of Supportive Care Services to lead and coordinate hospice psychosocial and bereavement programs, ensuring integration into the interdisciplinary care model.

The role partners with the Hospice Nurse Manager to guide operational and clinical leadership across the hospice, supporting staff performance, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and patient/family experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work is required.
• 3 years of clinical experience in social work is required.
• Licensure: LCSW, LSW or other applicable professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of the hospice’s psychosocial and bereavement services.
• Oversee Social Work, Pastoral and Bereavement Services and integrate these programs into the interdisciplinary hospice model of care.
• Collaborate with the Hospice Nurse Manager to support staff performance, interdisciplinary collaboration, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes.
• Address emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, practical, and bereavement needs of patients and families with accountability and excellence.
